Reimagined Digital Displays by LaSalle College

Since 2024, we’ve been tapping into the expertise of our neighbours at LaSalle College to bring a wave of creativity to our centre. Once again this year, first-year students in the Fashion Marketing program have joined in, this time for a fully digital experience! Every year, we issue a call for projects, following which four winning teams are selected by our jury. These four groups of students will give life to our digital spaces in the centre (on Cineplex screens) for three months, from June through August.

A New Take on Reality

The 2026 edition of this project is part of an effort to revitalize the retail experience by incorporating a fully digital artistic dimension. The overarching theme of “augmented proximity” is explored through the lens of “Reality, Reinvented.” The students’ assignment aims to bridge the gap between products and the human experience, transform reality into a playground for creative experimentation, and present a bold and unconventional reinterpretation of their products.

Four Projects Selected

The four selected projects stood out from all those submitted. They met the criteria for success: clarity of theme, originality, and balanced use of the space. Each student involved in the four finalist projects received a $250 Cominar Vitrine gift card to honour their success and creativity.

Here are the four selected projects:

Été rosé en Méditerranée Presented by Frédérique Renaud and Elsa Larivière.

Drawing inspiration from a Greek vacation, the two students reimagined this theme using a soft pink palette. Their artistic vision was to create a romantic and feminine atmosphere evoking sunsets, the calm sea, and moments of relaxation. The featured products tell a story of vacation, warmth and femininity, while highlighting comfort and elegance. An immersive experience is created by combining emotions, products, and inspiring visual content.

This student duo has created a serene and immersive retail environment that seamlessly blends wellness, nature, and beauty into a cohesive brand experience. Inspired by the growing trend toward wellness and mindfulness, they designed a store concept that offers an escape from life’s daily stresses. The narrative centred on an active lifestyle woven into the products on display transforms the retail space into an inspiring environment.

The student duo drew inspiration from “I Spy”-style children’s books, reimagined through a fun and interactive visual experience. The summer-themed display features a variety of colourful and vibrant objects that radiate energy as dynamic as the sunny season. The work combines emotion, retail commerce and digital media, transforming the storefront into an immersive “I spy”-style experience.

These two students’ project transports us to the traditional riads (houses built around an inner courtyard) of Marrakech. Amid an atmosphere of impressive architectural detail, bathed in warm, golden light, one can feel the calm and raw richness of the setting. The two models at the centre of the piece are dressed in a style inspired by explorer Indiana Jones, evoking adventure and nature expeditions. The visual creation is both an immersion in the Sahara Desert and a call to adventure.
